8-oz unsweetened chocolate, chopped
1/4 cup unsalted butter, cut into chunks
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1 cup heavy cream

Combine all ingredients in a saucepan with a heavy bottom; cook over low heat, stirring constantly until completely melted. Cook until steamy and uniformly smooth but do not boil!!

Serve over ice cream, etc.
