These brownies are lower in sugar than most and have no butter or oil! Yet they are very tasty.
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
2 eggs + 1 egg yolk
1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
1 tsp vanilla extract
4-oz dark chocolate, melted
1/3 cup peanut butter
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Line a 9-inch square baking pan with parchment paper; set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.

Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes or until a wooden toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Cut into 9 or 12 brownies.
