1-2-3-4 POUND CAKE

1 cup butter

2 cups sugar

4 eggs 

3 cups cake flour

1/2 tsp salt

3 tsp baking powder

1 cup sour cream

1 tsp vanilla

Cream butter, then add sugar gradually and beat until fluffy.

Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each.

Sift flour, salt and baking powder together. Mix sour cream and vanilla. Add dry ingredients and sour cream mixture alternately to the butter batter, beating well continuously.

Pour batter into a greased loaf pan and bake at 350-degrees for 1 hour.
