1 box (2-layer size) white cake mix
1 can cherry pie filling*
3 eggs, lightly beaten
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 tsp salt, optional
1/4 cup flour
1/2 stick butter, melted
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Grease or line a jelly roll pan with parchment.
Mix all ingredients except the butter together well. Pour into the prepared pan and pour the butter over the top.
Bake at 350 degrees 30 to 35 minutes or until cake tests done. Allow to cool then cut into squares to serve.
*If you prefer a less sweet version, omit the pie filling and mix 1 can red tart cherries with 1/2 cup sugar together as a replacement.
